Great support, after nearly dropping out of the league, Burnley fans were
enjoying the climb back up the Leagues. You don’t get support like this
from the Burnley fans now adays, even at away games… The cost of football
nowadays doesn’t help, and the modern day Burnley fans are ‘used’ to
Burnley being in the Championship… If they had to go through the lower
league experiences back in those days… maybe the atmosphere would still
be great nowadays.
