The centre-back of Carlisle United, Sean O’Hanlon, is relieved with the fact that his team is back to winning ways in League One.

In their previous League One game against Crewe Alexandra, Carlisle United secured a 2-1 victory. That was their first League One win in about 30 days or so. With that win, they moved up to no. 17 in the points table, but, still, they are not that far away from the relegation area.

However, according to O’Hanlon, the victory against Alexandra might just be the beginning of a good run for Carlisle.

Talking to the reporters after the game against Alexandra, O’Hanlon said, “We had begun well under Graham, but, then we lost our way. Our performance in the recent games wasn’t that good, but, today, we were spot on. We needed a win badly today so that we could widen the points’ gap between us and the sides which are in the relegation zone.”

“Hopefully, this is the start of a good run in the league for us. We are looking to make our way to top 10.”

Graham Kavanagh had been appointed as the manager of Carlisle United in September this year and under him, the Blues started flourishing straightaway. He guided the team to three consecutive wins. But, after suffering a 2-4 defeat against Bristol City towards the end of last month, the Blues lost their momentum and for the next 4 weeks or so, they couldn’t win a single League One game.

Meanwhile, there have been some reports that Carlisle United is looking to make a few loan signings in the next couple of days. The players who are believed to be on their radar are Tom Lawrence, Craig Roddan, Josh Morris and Courtney Meppen-Walter.
