The Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has said that he is a huge fan of the managerial method of the Carlisle United manager Greg Abbott. Bournemouth and Carlisle United will be playing against each other during this weekend. Speaking ahead of this match, the Bournemouth manager not only expressed his admiration for his counterpart, but also said that playing against Carlisle United will be a tough test for his players. Carlisle United will be coming into the match on the back of the confidence boosting 3-1 win over Oldham athletic in the midweek action. This victory helped Carlisle bring an end to the three match winless streak prior to it.

Now, Greg Abbott is expecting his players to kick on from this impressive and continue their climb up the table. This is one of the main reasons for Eddie Howe seeing this as a very tough match. One of the main areas where Bournemouth can get an advantage over Carlisle in a match will be goalscoring. Carlisle come into the match having not kept a clean sheet in the last four encounters, which will be something they will be looking to exploit. Bournemouth, themselves, have conceded a lot of goals in the last few matches.

“I have watched [Carlisle] a couple of times this season and they are a decent footballing team. I think Greg has always had the same philosophy and he sets up his teams in a good way, so it will be a tough test for us. Greg has done a really good job there down the years and he has made them very competitive. Regardless of who you are, it is a tough ground to visit and especially for us because it is such a long way,” said the Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe ahead of the match.
