Brazil played a friendly match against United States which concluded with the Brazilians securing a 4-1 victory and even though Neymar only entered the pitch in the 2nd half, it was enough for him to make a major impact in the game as he scored 2 goals which helped his national side in securing the triumph.

This friendly match was the last one that Brazil has scheduled to play as the team of Dunga will have to face off with Chile and with Venezuela in October. These upcoming matches are qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup but Neymar will not be able to play in any of these approaching matches due to suspension as he received a red card at the 2015 Copa America.

Chile are the first opponents that Brazil has to face off with in October 9 and a few days later, Brazil will be locking horns with Venezuela both of these matches are hugely important not only for Brazil but also for their opponents as a victory can help them snatch a spot in the upcoming 2018 World Cup. The head coach of Carlisle United, Keith Curle is believed interested in signing the 32 year old English attacker JaboIbehre who was released by Colchester United on May of 2015.

Ever since JaboIbehre turned into a free agent, he has been linked with a number of clubs that are rumored to be interested in signing the English forward.

The player himself admitted in saying that he doesn’t know what his future will be and which club he is going to join but Ibehre is happy about that as it’s a new challenge which is awaiting him.

“I like challenging myself and that’s one of the things I like about football. As long as everything is right for me and the ambitions are correct, then I’ll consider it.” JaboIbehre said as he said that his future remains undecided at this point in time.

Ibehre has managed to score 93 goals out of 519 appearances from his entire playing career.

JaboIbehre is still in the process of being signed by Carlisle United but they have already made a move in this summer as Keith Curle managed to secure the services of the 22 year old defender David Akitson.

David Akitson was given the chance to join Carlisle United on a permanent deal after the young player had already performed with the English club on a loan deal during the previous season. Continue reading 'Carlisle United is interested in signing the free agent JaboIbehre'»

Carlisle United starting to look good this March

After a string of losses in February, the month of March is starting to look much better for Carlisle United. The team managed their second victory of the month in the 2-0 success over Northampton Town.

Both goals came in the second half for Carlisle as they achieved this unlikely away victory to move themselves three points clear of the drop zone. Jason Kennedy opened the scoring after 69 minutes but it was the goal from Kyle Dempsey – after just two minutes – that made the game safe for the away team. Northampton were not exactly in the middle of a great run of form, but Carlisle were awake in order to take advantage of it.

Northampton have had just two wins in the last five matches, as the players appear to be losing concentration of the play-off places. Manager Keith Curle of Carlisle says that the team came into the match with intense concentration and preparation and it has paid rich dividends. Carlisle maybe looking for more points – but this time at home – when they take on yet another team in the mid-table next week. Morecambe are the visitors to Brunton Park next week. Carlisle will be hoping to continue their good run of form. Continue reading 'Carlisle United starting to look good this March'»

The last few years have been nothing short of turmoil for the Carlisle United supporters, as they have seen their club slip down the lower reaches of the football league. The club are in a real danger of going out of the football league entirely after having just won the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy only in 2011.

They sit just one point out of the drop zone and even the two victories in the last five matches have not helped their cause. Strangely, most of the fans anger has gone towards the board. The Carlisle United directors have been urged to sell the club in order to give a bright future.

After having won the Johnstone’s paint Trophy, Carlisle United came close to getting into the League One through the play-offs. Since then, it has been downhill and they have had to change managers twice. Continue reading 'Carlisle United lost the League One'»

Carlisle United sustained their 3rd successive league defeat after losing against Exeter with a scoreboard of 2-0.  This loss has dropped the League Two club into the bottom relegation zone and the coach of the team, Keith Curle is aware that in order to save the club from being relegated and try to survive in the League then a number of changes will have to be done.

The January transfer window is on the horizon and it’s an ideal moment for changes to happen. Curle knows that Carlisle United does not have the same financial power or authority as other clubs but he still remains quite confident that they will provide enough cash to make a splash in the winter transfer window which is only a few weeks away from kicking off.

Carlisle United’s Keith Curle said: “I’ve not had to ask the question yet but I speak to John (Nixon, managing director) and the chairman all the time, and they want me to be successful. Do they want the club to be at the bottom of League Two? No. Have they backed previous regimes to the hilt? Yes. Am I expecting the same? Of course.

“I know the pay-scale the club can afford for individual players or packages. Will I take anything unrealistic to them? No. I don’t think that would give them any confidence in myself but if I do some wheeling and dealing, and I can make money available, would I expect to get that back? Yes.”

Keith Curle stated that in order for certain players to be signed and arrive to the club, some others will have to leave to create enough space and not have an overload of fringe players in the squad.
